Everit Russe’s letters portray how a person shall enjoy life to its fullest, and when they die they should be happy and at peace with themselves. Happiness can be attained by connecting with nature, and finding a purpose in life. When someone’s life is about to end they should be at the place that makes them most happy. Chris was at war with society and he had to escape it. Alaska was were Chris’s journey ends, and this is a society free environment were Chris does not have to worry about much just how to survive on his own.
